Job Description:

We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Virtual Assistant with solid experience in construction takeoffs and estimating.If you know how to read blueprints like a map, measure with precision, and turn drawings into accurate numbers—we want to meet you.

This role is ideal for someone who works well independently, meets deadlines without reminders, and takes pride in getting the details right the first time.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Review blueprints and construction drawings carefully

• Perform accurate material and quantity takeoffs

• Use Bluebeam Revu and/or On-Screen Takeoff (OST) to measure and calculate quantities

• Organize takeoff data into Excel or estimating software

• Assist in preparing project estimates, proposals, and bid summaries

• Review plans and specifications to understand full project scope

• Identify missing details or discrepancies in drawings

• Communicate clearly with estimators or team members when clarification is needed

• Maintain well-organized digital files (plans, revisions, estimates, etc.)

We sometimes ask for flexible support on related tasks, but nothing outside your skill set—and always with clear communication.

Tools & Software Required:

• Bluebeam Revu

• On-Screen Takeoff (OST)

• Microsoft Excel (strong proficiency required)

• Estimating software (any relevant platform)

• PDF and blueprint review tools

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience performing construction takeoffs from blueprints

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, scales, and specifications

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet bid deadlines

• Comfortable working independently in a remote setup

• Reliable internet connection

Preferred (But Not Required):

• Landscape construction estimating experience

• Experience working with U.S.-based construction companies

• Familiarity with bid deadlines and procurement processes

Position Details:

• Full-Time: 40 hours per week

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

• Rate: $7–$10 per hour (based on experience)
